37 weeks
We had our 37 week check up on Monday. Baby Clark's heartrate was 146 bpm and my weight and blood pressure were great. We found out that there has been a little bit of progress toward this little guy's arrival - I'm currently dilated 1 cm. Although I'm sure that doesn't mean a whole lot at this point, but it's better than nothing! I'm still feeling great - for which I am so thankful!

36 Week Ultrasound
Charlie and Allie are just so excited for baby Clark to arrive - they wanted to be sure I mentioned that.
36 weeks!
We had our 36 check up on Monday. I had been measuring small at my past couple of appointments, so my doctor scheduled us to get an ultrasound at 36 weeks to make sure baby Clark was growing as he should. Needless to say we were pretty excited about getting to see the little guy again. Turns out - he's not so small - they said he measured around 5 lbs 11 oz - which is right on track for 36 weeks and that he'll probably weigh about 7-8 lbs when he's born. He also scored 8 of 8 on his biophysical profile - which just proves he's as perfect as we thought. :)

Memorial Day Weekend in Lake City
We spent Memorial Day Weekend up in Lake City, Michigan. We snuck in a quick visit with the deRoo's on Thursday night - staying over with them in Zeeland. Friday morning Chris and Taylor played 9 holes of golf at 6:30 AM!! We also snuck in a visit with Grandpa Buter Friday morning before heading up to the cottage.
We had a very nice and relaxing time - per usual. We had amazing weather and really enjoyed our last family trip as a couple. Unfortunately we didn't take many pictures - but the whole Clark family was there. We spent our time reading, fishing, walking, playing yard games and most importantly eating smiley face cookies.
34 - almost 35 weeks

Happy Birthday Chris!
Well - I think Chris' 28th birthday is one he won't soon forget. Thanks to a weekend chock full of rain - we spent Chris' birthday and the week following working on drying out our basement. Fortunately we didn't have much damage, but the carpet was soaked! We threw out the wet carpet pad and once everything got dry we had new carpet pad installed. We are so thankful that we were able to save our less than a year old carpet - and couldn't have done it without the help of family and friends!
Even though the basement was drenched - we still took time to celebrate Chris' birthday by going out to eat and having cake and ice cream. And I sure hope he liked those fans and dehumidifier I got him for his birthday. Oh and the new carpet pad too! :)

Run Taylor Run
WAY back in April...we hosted our dear friends Taylor and Abby. And the top agenda item for the weekend - Taylor running the Derby Festival Marathon in Louisville. This was his first marathon - and judging by how well he did I would say it won't be his last. Abby, Chris and I had so much fun following him around the course cheering him on.

He was running too fast...but he gave us a lovely orange grin here - with his orange peel in his mouth. That Taylor...always being silly.

Here he comes!

Here he comes again!

We are so proud of you Taylor!
What makes a good cheerleader? I'd say cut outs of someone's head on a stick helps quite a bit:

We first got to see him as he entered Churchill Downs

Stop #2:

While we waited - thought we should get my 29 week picture out of the way:
Here he comes!

And there he goes...

Getting close to the end of the race - here we are waiting for him to come back across the bridge. Chris thought he'd strike a pose with the new Yum Brands arena they are building downtown. I mean the building is alright...but who cares about watching red birds play basketball?
Here he comes again!
Run Taylor Run!!

To celebrate what an awesome job he did - we had to supply him with a carrot cake..

We are so proud of you Taylor!
